"Neglattention" is a transformative series that reimagines and unites themes from my previous bodies of work, "Human/Nature" and "Tattered Terrains." Drawing from the attention-grabbing neon aesthetics of "Human/Nature," which explores the overstimulation of technology and our fractured relationship with the natural world, and the distressed, worn textures of "Tattered Terrains," which reflect environmental neglect and human impact, "Neglattention" becomes a visual conversation between these opposing forces. This series reformulates pieces from both collections, blending vivid, eye-catching abstractions with torn, muted elements to emphasize the stark duality between nature’s captivating allure and the scars of disregard. By merging these concepts, "Neglattention" asks viewers to reflect on how beauty and neglect can coexist and challenges them to reconsider their role in the preservation and perception of the natural environment.
